Emotional & Mental Stress

Emotional & Mental Stress

It is estimated that as high as 70-90% of visits to a doctor have emotional and mental stress as an underlying cause of a person’s symptoms. What is stress? How would you define it? We here at the office believe stress can be defined this way. (James 4:1) “You want something but don’t get it.” So, we could say, that stress is created when we desire to get something or we want something to happen and we don’t get it. Or, there is a fear that we won’t get it. Studies of people who have lived to be 100 or more have shown that their ability to process shattered expectations with a good attitude was the number one positive factor in their health and longevity. Most people have never been taught or never consistently practice healthy ways to process negative emotions. One of many ways that helps is found in the BIBLE under Phil 4:6-7 which says, “ Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

In the game monopoly, did you ever use the get out of jail free card? Wasn’t it great to be set free from jail? In playing the game of life you can use this “Get out of Stress Free” card to process your negative emotions. Feel free to print this page for personal use.

We also offer personal prayer for those who request it in our prayer room. In there we also have a lending library of books, tapes, and cd’s to help encourage and renew the mind, body, and spirit.

We also use muscle response testing, using the book “Feelings Buried Alive Never Die” and the LZR7 to locate negative beliefs, fears, and limiting patterns that can be interfering with the body’s ability to heal. If this interests you or you would like to experience this type of testing please let myself or one of our staff know and we can set you up with a consult for the LZR7 (all consults at our office are free).
