Nutritional Deficiencies

Back to Services

We follow the acronym FAT which stands for:

  • Frequency of eating, eat on a regular schedule, don’t skip meals
  • Amount of food, use your fist as a portion size
  • Type of food, eat and drink the foods God made (organic and purified water if possible)

Unless we give you a specific diet to help some specific condition like low thyroid, adrenal fatigue or candida/yeast overgrowth, we recommend you follow the principles we have listed above to help protect your health. If you do this 90% of the time you will help prevent the three I’s that are the main instigators in causing chronic degenerative diseases. The three I’s are inflammation, insulin excess, and inches gained. If you can prevent these by following a healthy lifestyle, you will be helping to prevent the five chronic degenerative diseases that most people will suffer with in their lifetime. The five diseases are cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, and stroke.

“Insufficient vitamin intake is apparently a cause of chronic degenerative disease. We recommend that all adults take a multi vitamin/mineral daily since most do not consume enough vitamins through diet alone.”

– JAMA June 19th, 2009 Vitamins for Chronic Disease Prevention in Adults

Deficiencies in Vitamins, Minerals, Enzymes, and Probiotics are also an attack we focus on in our office. Supplements are often needed when organs, glands, or other tissues are not keeping up with the body’s demands. They may be out of balance, and need supplemental support.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you know what you need?

Many people just read a flyer in the mail, or ask the person at the vitamin store who has never met them, doesn’t know their health history, and often has no objective test data. There is a better way! We identify your imbalances by analyzing bloodwork from a nutritional perspective, by saliva hormone testing, by muscle response testing of reflex points, you’re presenting symptoms, by physical exam findings and symptom questionnaires.

Does every adult need to be on supplements to help prevent chronic degenerative diseases?

YES! The top 5 that everyone needs are: Pharmaceutical grade multivitamins and minerals, fish oil, enzymes, probiotics, and vitamin D. 85% of those we test through blood work are low in vitamin D.
